Modification is not compatible with Heroes 5.5.
Installation: Extract file “Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1” to your “HOMM V Tribes of The East/data” directory.
The final file destination should look like this: “HoMM V: Tribes of the East/data/Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1.pak”
Installation for Steam version: Extract folder “Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1.pak” to your “Steam/steamapps/common/HOMM V Tribes of The East/data” . The final file destination should look like this: “Steam/steamapps/common/HoMM V: Tribes of the East/data/Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1.pak” . The installation path may look different on your PC, but after all it is very similar :).
Uninstallation: Delete folder “Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1.pak” in your “data” directory
Testing Grounds version contain:
Haven Faction – 6 Tiers of units
Dungeon Faction – 3 Tiers of units
New textures of terrain, New look of resources, New sounds of UI.
Its important to acknowledge that this is still heavy “Work in progress” and many features are missing or lack correcting. Some units are place holders as well as some sounds etc. These things will be fixed overtime with addition of new content for testing, until the mod is ready for final release.

I have downloaded the file
Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1.pak
and pasted below
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V – Tribes of the East\data\Units_and_Combat_Overhaul_Testing_Grounds_v0.1.pak
I play Heroes of Might and Magic V – Tribes of the East, but I don’t see these new units in the game in the city of Asylum / Heaven
