The most important Heroes ]I[ mods of 2024

Also this year, I have prepared a list of Heroes 3 modifications that are definitely worth following. I will keep the page up to date and add new modifications if necessary. If you know about the modification that I miss here and is worth it, be sure to write in the comments. Let’s start:

Horn of the Abyss is a global add-on for Heroes of might and magic III that extends classical gameplay elements and adds some of its own. The expansion features a completely new Cove and Factory towns with campaigns, new artifacts, neutral creatures, adventure map objects etc.

ERA 3 Launcher contains the latest version of ERA 3, HD mod with Online Lobby, ERA Scrips, Unleashed Map Editor, Mixed Neutrals mod, XXL maps support, Game Enhancement mod, Advanced Classes mod, BattleQueue mod  and more in one installation package! And the best thing at last, the ERA 3 Launcher also includes an auto-update feature, so you don’t have to worry about searching for updates, everything will be done by itself.

Heroes of Might and Magic III: The Succession Wars is a total conversion of Heroes III dedicated to the fairy-tale atmosphere and graphic style of its prequel, Heroes II.

The mod adds a lot of new content, such as creatures, castles, and artifacts to name a few, and provides fresh gaming impressions as well as a great amount of nostalgic feelings at the same time.

Legacy of the Silence features 13 New towns (NO replacement) with full unit line up and heroes, 8th level units for each town, new creature banks, 9 new spells, 2 new skills, 9 new war machines, 90+ new artifacts including 10+ new artifact set (not combo) etc.

Advanced Classes Mod, a gameplay enhancing mod, that features revamped skill and spell systems, new artifacts and artifacts set, 2 dozens of new and reworked specialities, 6 new subclasses with uniquw abilities and more. The idea of this mod was to create 2 new skill ranks — Master and Grandmaster, which are gained right after Expert rank, as well as a completely new hero class — adventurer.

The purpose of VCMI project is to rewrite the entire Heroes of Might and Magic III engine from scratch, giving it new and extended possibilities to support mods and new towns already made by fans but abandoned because of original game code limitations.

Third Upgrades mod LITE version only include third upgrades for creatures (no fourth upgrade included). If you want to play the full experience of Third Upgrade Mod (tons of new content such as artifacts, neutral upgrades, creature banks, etc), you must download Third Upgrades mod.

Master of Puppets is a global HoMM 3 mod, initially based on WoG, featuring: 200+ new artifacts, including 15 combination artifacts and 30+ grail replacements, 7 new spells and 2 new secondary skills, and ability to learn all secondary skills, 80+ new creatures, including raid bosses and new siege machine etc.

Day of Reckoning project is a new modification for Heroes 3 Complete. You can expect new creatures, heroes, artifacts, graphics…Vori elves.. etc… There will be more information coming out in the near future.
