Might & Magic: Heroes VII

Might & Magic Heroes VII is a turn-based strategy game in the Heroes of Might and Magic series. Like the other games in the series, players control leaders with magical abilities termed as “heroes”, who recruit a variety of forces from strongholds. The heroes and their armies battle the opponents, who also use heroes to lead their forces. It features a campaign series of levels, standalone and multiplayer scenarios.

In 2016, the downloadable content Lost Tales of Axeoth was released. On August 4, 2016 Trial by Fire was released, featuring two new campaigns, a new faction (Fortress) and many gameplay improvements available for all owners of the main game as well. However, the expansion itself is sold as a standalone. Along with the expansion the game was updated to feature Denuvo DRM (since version 2.0). While all versions of MMH7 include a random map generator in the map editor, the Trial by Fire expansion added an in-game random map generator (which can also be used in other version of MMH7).

Two months after the release of the last expansion Ubisoft announced that further game development was halted which left many critical bugs unresolved.

Siedmy diel Might & Magic: Heroes VII vychádza 29. septembra 2015 v značne nedokončenom stave. Už beta verziu sprevádzalo strašne veľa chýb a dopredu bolo jasné, že v deň vydania hry na tom Heroes 7 nebude o nič lepšie. Hneď sme sa dočkali 11 GB aktualizácie, ktorá hru spravila o niečo stabilnejšou a hrateľnejšou, ale ani tým sa jej problémy neskončili.

Vývoj dostal na starosť tím Limbic Ent., ktorý už mal skúsenosti s Heroes VI a Might & Magic X. Príbeh sa točí okolo vojvodu Ivana, ktorý musí ukončiť občiansku vojnu, ktorá nastala po smrti cisárovnej Maeve. Hlavnú kampaň tvorí 27 máp s cca 50 hodinami hrania. S novými aktualizáciami prišli aj nové mini kampane, ktoré nadväzujú na príbehy z Heroes 4 – The Lost Tales of Axeoth.

Heroes VII sa snaží vrátiť späť slávu série, po veľmi vlažnom úvode sa situácia začína zlepšovať. Na 2. júna bol ohlásený datadisk Trial of Fire, ktorý predstaví frakciu trpaslíkov a s ním príde aj veľká aktualizácia, ktorá dúfam opraví ďalšie chyby hry. Rovnako bude pridaný priamo do hry generátor náhodných máp, ktorý bol doteraz dostupný iba v editore máp. Vrátilo sa veľa mechaník, ktoré z hry zobral nepodarený šiesty diel ako napr. 7 surovín potrebných na výstavbu, učenie sa kúzel v magickej veži, karavany, možnosť offline hrania, bola zrušená možnosť konvertovať mestá, vrátili sa obelisky a vykopávanie grálu atď.

Pomaly sa začína rozbiehať aj moderská scéna a Acid Dragon už stihol vytvoriť modifikáciu Alternative Creatures mod (AC mod), ktorá ku každej frakcii pridá dve alternatívne jednotky.
