HoMM: Olden Era – Plans for the Near Future (and new creatrues)
In the latest patch, Unfrozen added the fan-favourite “Broken Alliance“ map and the “Prisoners” scenario. Both received a lot of positive feedback from the community, and the studio is already working on new single-player adventures. More information about the upcoming PvE content is expected in October.

Olden Era Major Balance Patch
Unfrozen is also preparing a major balance update for Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. The patch will include a rework of the Temple faction skill, adjustments to percentage-based damage bonuses, as well as new artifacts and skills.
Before the update is released to everyone, Unfrozen plans to make the changes available through a public beta branch. This will give players an opportunity to test the new mechanics and provide feedback before the changes are introduced into the main version of the game.
New (old) Creatures
The upcoming balance patch will also introduce new creatures to the adventure map. One of them is a majestic classic creature that has been familiar to Heroes of Might and Magic fans for many years (a.k.a Mummy).
Another new arrival will be a nimble and mysterious creature, bringing a completely new addition to the world of Enroth. While new to Heroes, the creature itself is well known from many other fantasy settings. It looks like a Kitsune from Japanese mythology.
Step by Step Toward Perfection
Unfrozen says that it remains committed to delivering the features announced in its roadmap and keeping the community informed whenever development plans change or particular features require more time.
The studio is continuing to work on both PvE and PvP aspects of Olden Era, even when some planned features take longer to complete than originally expected.
With the goals of the Q3 Roadmap now completed, Unfrozen has already moved on to the features and changes planned for the end of the year.
The development team is also working on improving the game’s AI opponents, teaching them new tricks and tactics designed to make PvE matches more challenging and engaging.
More details about these upcoming improvements will be revealed in the future.
