Heroes 3 Remake was the 5th most wishlisted game of Gamescom 2026
According to a new analysis by Alinea Analytics, Heroes of Might & Magic III Remake ranked 5th among the games featured at Gamescom 2026 by the number of new Steam wishlists gained during the event.
Between August 23 and 30, the remake added an estimated 189,000 new Steam wishlists, placing it behind The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Songs of the Past, Warlock: Dungeons & Dragons, Ananta and LEGO Skylines.
The numbers are particularly interesting given that the remake has received a rather mixed reaction from the Heroes community so far. Alinea Analytics also notes that around one quarter of Heroes III Remake wishlisters have previously played Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, suggesting that the audience for the new game overlaps significantly with players already interested in the series.
Reaching #5 at Gamescom is a significant statistic and shows that there is considerable interest in seeing Heroes III reimagined in 3D. The challenge for Ubisoft now will be to turn that interest into a game that can address the concerns raised by players and deliver an experience worthy of the original classic.
