Grove Town (ERA 2)
Players on our website have already read several articles about the Grove Town modification. The authors have released more than one version — some of them remained unfinished — but the best and most competitive version is the ERA II release by Polish players, later adapted for VCMI. The old WoG 3.58f version does not differ significantly from the current ERA II version.
Some units have weaker animations, most notably the Spider Queen, and some are not well balanced in terms of size compared to other Heroes of Might and Magic III units. Grove Town replaces the Fortress town. The Hydra is replaced by the Amethyst Dragon, which has high health and excellent defense, but lower attack and is not among the fastest units.
