Fheroes 2 update v1.1.15 with Battle Only mode completely reworked
The fheroes2 team proudly announces the release of a new version of the engine 1.1.15. This update brings a wide range of interesting improvements across all parts of the project.

One of the key highlights is the continuous growth of the community map library. Map makers have been actively creating new scenarios using the fheroes2 Editor, and as a result, the team has started including the best of these maps directly in the fheroes2 bundle. This release introduces several new maps: Ravenhold, Apocalypse, and Final Invasion, along with updated versions of existing maps such as Eruption and 7 Deserts, both of which now support multiple languages.
In addition, every map now features an ABOUT button in the Scenario Information window on the Adventure Map, allowing players to view details provided by the map’s author.
The Editor itself has also received significant improvements. The team added more road sprites to make roads appear more natural, introduced the option to select artifacts for Random Artifact objects, and resolved several issues related to the Random Map Generator.
This version also brings numerous updates to translations. The Virtual Keyboard now supports nearly all languages available in the game. Initial support for the Greek language has been added, and the process of switching between languages within the engine has been optimized for better performance.
The Battle Only mode has undergone a complete overhaul. It now includes proper Evil interface support and an improved user interface design. The team plans to continue expanding this mode in future updates. Additionally, the Turn Order option in battles has been enhanced, now allowing it to be positioned at the bottom of the screen.
Beyond these changes, the team has improved the AI, fixed multiple rendering-related issues, refined translations, and added proper MIDI support for PS Vita. Altogether, more than 40 issues have been resolved since the previous release.
