The original Might & Magic: Duel of Champions game was closed on October 31, 2016. Until January 2019, it was impossible to play it. MMDoC revival is a mod of the original MMDoC client plus a new online lobby and server created from scratch at the beginning of 2019.
The development of the MMDoC Revival is still ongoing. The current version is named alpha only because not all of the planned functionality has been implemented yet. А number of bugs of the original game have already been fixed. And the MMDoC Revival is more stable than the original MMDoC.
