MapMaker AW 2026 Contest – VIII edition
The VIII edition of MapMaker AW 2026 has officially been launched. This Polish competition is dedicated to selecting the best submitted map for Heroes III.
The competition format, proven over the years, remains unchanged. In the first stage, map creators submit their works during the official submission period. In the second stage, players evaluate the maps through reliable reviews and ratings, ultimately selecting the best entry.

The MapMaker AW 2026 consists of two stages:
- Stage I – Map submission (from February 19 to June 30).
- Stage II – Map evaluation (from July 1 to October 31).
– Each participant may submit a maximum of three maps. The map size cannot exceed XL with an underground layer or H without an underground layer.
– Maps that have previously been published on the Internet are not eligible for submission.
– Maps may be created in either English or Polish.
– Players will rate the maps on a scale from 1 to 5. The final ranking will be determined by the average score from all reviews. Maps that do not receive at least three reviews will not be included in the final ranking.
🎁 Prizes await not only the best mapmakers but also the most active reviewers.
