What is Heroes Launcher?

Heroes Launcher is the successor of the popular ERA 3 Launcher. In its new version, it will offer you much more and with easy installation of mods. With a few clicks you can install ERA 3, Horn of the Abyss, HD mod, Master of Puppets, VCMI or the Might and Magic Arcomage card game.

Where can I download Heroes Launcher?

You can use the official GitHub site of the paltform. Alternatively, you can use download from WoG folder.

How do I install Heroes Launcher?

You will of course need the full version of Heroes 3 from GOG.COM (This version also fits all other Heroes 3 mods and is on sale for €2.49 most of the year.)

1. Install GOG Heroes 3 Complete (if you already have it installed on your PC, you can skip this step). Do not install the game in “Program Files” folder. Use the C: or D: drive directly (or D:\Games\).

2. Download the Heroes Launcher installer file to your PC.

3. If the installer is downloaded directly from the author’s site or WoG Folder, the file looks like this: HeroesLauncher-1.1.1.exe (the version may change to 1.2.1 etc. in the future…)

4. Run it and on the install screen select “Only for me“, (the installer will be in the language in which you have Windows), then click “Next >”.

5. Select the location where Heroes Launcher will be installed. Then click “Install”.

6. Installation takes only a few seconds. Click “Finish” and the Heroes Launcher will launch.

7. Heroes Launcher is installed. At the top menu, click “ERA” and then “Install“.

8.On the new screen, click on “Select folder with Heroes 3” and select the folder where you installed the GOG version of Heroes 3 Complete in the first step.

8.Then click on “Install ERA project to a new folder and copy the original game files” and the click “Start installation”.

9.ERA Project is starting to download, it will take a while. You will see the status in the lower left corner.

10.If the download is successful, the Play button will be dark and you will see the date when the ERA project was updated.

Heroes Launcher – Mod Browser

11.And now the best that Heroes Launcher brings. Click on Mod Browser where you can install mods with one click. We will test 2 modifications, namely Third Upgrades mod and New Level Up screen. Just click the “Install” button.

12.After downloading and installing the modifications, they still need to be activated via the Mod manager. So click on Mod manager icon.

13.In the Mod Manager you can see all the modifications you have installed and you can activate/deactivate them at will. Find Third Upgrades mod and New Level Up screen mods and click “Enable“.

14.Now click on Play. At the first launch, the HD modification window will appear, where you can set the desired resolution and click on “Update” to update the HD mod. Now everything is really ready and you can click “Play” and you are in the game.
