HoMM: Olden Era – Cavalry, Naiads and Dread knights updated models
The Unfrozen team has also taken note of community feedback regarding several unit models that players felt could use improvement. Previous examples included the Dungeon’s Onyx Dancers and the Temple’s Angels, both of which have already received updated visuals. However, players also raised concerns about the Necropolis’ Dread Knights and the Temple’s Cavalry.
The developers listened carefully to this feedback and have now fully remade both units. In addition, several other models across the game have received extra visual polish to make them look clearer, more detailed, and better defined on the battlefield.
The team is also currently adjusting several Hive units to give them a more distinctive and unique visual identity.
Another piece of feedback concerned the Aqualotls, which players found difficult to recognize during combat. As a result, the unit has been completely reworked and replaced with Naiads, water nymphs inspired by Greek mythology. While the design has been significantly improved, the developers kept a small element of the original concept as a subtle tribute to the earlier version.
