BepInEx plugin restores and enables the hidden Cheat Panel from the Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era demo. Once installed, you can press a configurable key (default: / key) to open the cheat interface that exists within the game’s code — allowing you to access various in-game debug and cheat options.
The panel can be opened: 🗺️ On the world map, 🏰 Inside a city and ⚔️ During battle.
This plugin does not add new cheats or change game mechanics — it simply gives you access to the existing developer cheat UI built into the demo version.
HoMM: Olden Era Cheat Panel installation:
- Download BepInEx 5 (Windows x64 version recommended)
- Extract BepInEx folder, doorstop_config.ini and winhttp.dll into yourHeroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era Demo game folder (the folder structure looks like Heroes of Might & Magic Olden Era Demo/BepInEx/
and Heroes of Might & Magic Olden Era Demo/winhttp.dll). - Run the game once to let BepInEx create its configuration folders. Launch any map and make one turn.
- Download CheatPanel.dll from NexusMods.
- Place the DLL into: Heroes of Might & Magic Olden Era Demo/BepInEx/plugins/
- Launch the game.
- Press / (Slash) to open the Cheat Panel.
- The panel will adapt based on your current state: On the map → shows World cheats, In a town → shows Town cheats, In battle → shows Battle cheats
- You can change the hotkey in the config file located at: Heroes of Might & Magic Olden Era Demo/BepInEx/config/com.morabis.cheatpanel.cfg
