Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Did you know?
nr. 211 – 220
- A hero on a boat can visit and pick up objects floating on water. However, AI heroes never collect Ocean Bottles.
- AI behavior when searching for the Grail depends on difficulty: at Easy it never searches, at Normal it starts after revealing at least half of the puzzle map, at Hard after 25%, and at Expert or Impossible after uncovering just one piece.
- Wraiths drain 2 spell points per round from the enemy hero, and the effect is applied per stack. This means that if you split them into 7 stacks, they will drain 14 spell points per round—as long as all stacks remain alive.
- Hypnotize spell can be dispelled from a friendly unit with Cure, but only at Basic or Advanced level, since Expert Cure does not remove it. Hypnotize can also be dispelled with Dispel, Berserk or Anti-Magic spell.
- Weakness spell specialists Cuthbert,Olema and Mirlanda also increase the Weakness effect cast automatically by the Armor of the Damned.
- The ability to manually control castle arrow towers during sieges using the Artillery secondary skill was introduced only in the Armageddon’s Blade expansion. This information appears on page 4 of the manual.
- Crystal Dragons do not generate any crystals with their Crystal Generation special ability while they are stationed in mines or garrisons.
- Behemoths’ defense-reduction ability has higher priority than Frenzy. As a result, when a frenzied creature attacks a Behemoth, only the remaining defense is used for the attack bonus and damage calculation. 60% against Behemoths and just 20% against Ancient Behemoths.
- Any combat that takes place on a tile adjacent to water will always use sand as the battlefield terrain regardless of whether the surrounding adventure map terrain is snow, swamp, lava, or anything else.
- Creatures with a base Health value below 4 (Peasants, Pixies, and Sprites) do not benefit from the Elixir of Life’s 25% Health bonus, because it is rounded down. They only gain +4 HP provided by the artifact’s components.
