Heroes of Might and Magic III Day

Every fandom deserves its own special tradition. Science fiction fans celebrate Towel Day every year on May 25th in honor of Douglas Adams, carrying a towel wherever they go as a tribute to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It made me wonder…

Why shouldn’t Heroes of Might and Magic III have its own day as well?
That’s why I’d like to invite fans from all over the world to celebrate the very first Heroes of Might and Magic III Day on February 28, 2027, the exact anniversary of the game’s original release.
Instead of carrying a towel, Heroes fans can wear something inspired by the game. A Heroes III pin would be a perfect choice. Since February is still cold in many parts of the world, it will look great on jackets and coats, making it easy for fellow fans to recognize each other.

The idea is simple: take a moment to remember the countless hours of adventure, difficult battles, unforgettable music, and wonderful memories that Heroes III has given us over the years. Just one more turn…

This first celebration will hopefully become the beginning of a new tradition leading up to an even bigger milestone in 2029, when Heroes of Might and Magic III celebrates its 30th anniversary.
And here’s the best part: Heroes of Might and Magic III Day, together with the metal Heroes III Griffin shield pins, has been approved by Ubisoft.
Put on your Heroes III pin (or anything Heroes-themed), share a photo using #Heroes3Day, and let’s show the world that this legendary turn-based game continues to unite fans nearly three decades after its release.

Every single Heroes III metal Griffin Shield pin is carefully forged by dwarven hands, polished with enchanted crystals*, and inspected by at least three grumpy dwarves before it can leave the underground halls. Rumor has it that if a pin shines especially bright, it was blessed by the hero Ufretin while passing through the tunnels.
*no, it is not polished with enchanted crystals 😀
