Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Did you know?
nr. 61 – 70

In the Heroes III: Complete and Shadow of Death versions, the AI is unable to cast the following spells: Berserk, Fire Wall, Force Field, Land Mine, Remove Obstacle, Scuttle Boat, and Quicksand.

A hero can revisit the same movement-boosting adventure map location as many times as they want — as long as they engage in combat between visits.

The Sandwalker ability of Nomads allows a hero to ignore movement penalties on sand terrain — as long as there is at least one Nomad in the army.

The maximum number of unit stacks on the battlefield is 20 per side — this includes war machines and even destroyed units. Once the 20-stack limit is reached, it’s no longer possible to use Clone or Summon Elemental spells, even if some allied stacks have been killed

Roland’s specialty is bugged — it does not provide attack, defense, or speed bonuses to Swordsmen as intended. Instead, it only affects Crusaders.

Town walls have six indestructible segments that cannot be destroyed by a catapult, the Earthquake spell, or even Cyclops attacks. Units standing behind these sections always receive a 50% reduction in ranged damage.

Teleport is the only spell in HoMM III that becomes cheaper with advanced and expert level. It normally costs 15 spell points, but with Basic Water Magic it drops to 12, with Advanced to 6, and with Expert to just 3. If you have Magi in your army, it can be reduced even further — down to 1 spell point!

Both Pegasi and Silver Pegasi have the Magic Damper ability, which causes enemy spells to cost 2 additional spell points. Even if all Pegasi are killed during the battle, the increased spell cost remains in effect until the end of combat.
