HoMM III: The Board Game – Rule Book Rewrite Project changelog:

Expanded Content
– Almost all rules from all expansions are now included: the previous crowdfunding campaign and this one, including Stronghold, Conflux, Cove, Naval Battles, Stretch Goals 2, and Introduction Scenario
– New section: Battlefield – speaks for itself
– New section: Tournament Mode – explains rules for competitive 1vs1 mode
– New section: Rule Variants – explains rules for more varied gaming experience
– New section: Card Effect Keywords – explains quite often hidden effects of certain cards
– New section: Solo Campaigns – to explain how to play them and what to do between scenarios
– All map locations have been expanded with all the existing locations, including single-hex fields like Creature Banks
– Expansion content chapter has been spread into section where their respective rules belong, like Deck-Building, Map Elements

Improved Structure
– Combat has been completely restructured for clarity: siege rules with important clarifications, new end-of-combat structure
– AI Rules have been rewritten to explain all the intricacies of solo play
– Extension bars were added as a visual guide – you can easily skip content from the expansions you don’t have or aren’t interested in

Enhanced Navigation
– Expanded Table of Contents – it’s much more detailed now, finding the content you’re interested in is a lot easier now
– New headers throughout for easier reference and navigation – you can find the content you’re looking for very fast just by skimming through the text

Technicalities
– Specific card names are now links to the Game Wiki
– Glyphs are now copyable as text in PDF readers that support this feature
– Economy printable mode is much more economical and accessible
– Broken drop shadows were fixed
