Dear heroes and heroines,

This year, I’ve prepared a brand-new challenge for you! Unlike the last two editions, where your task was to create miniatures from the world of Heroes of Might and Magic III, this time you must step into the real world…

Your mission is to search for real-life obelisks, just like the ones from the game! Together, we’ll reveal the puzzle map and dig up the Grail — the secret grand prize of this contest.

The contest begins just before the holiday season, giving you more time to explore, travel, and send in your discoveries.

📜 Obelisk Hunt 2025 – Contest rules:

• Find a real-world obelisk and take two photos:
  • One should feature only the obelisk — this will be published.
  • The second must include you (the participant) standing with the obelisk — this photo will not be published and is for verification purposes only.
• Send your photos to admin@heroes3wog.net
• Include the location (city, street, country).
• Duplicate entries (same obelisk submitted by multiple people) will be disqualified.
• Each participant may submit up to 2 different obelisks.
• Contest has been extended until July 31st, 2025.
• The competition is closed. Winners will be announced on Monday, August 4th.

🎁 Prize selection:

• Each obelisk photo will receive a number.
• After the contest ends, 7 winners will be drawn at random using random.org.
• I will also personally choose one extra winner for the most impressive obelisk submission.

🗿 What counts as an obelisk?

Obelisks are well known to all fans of Heroes of Might and Magic — tall, slender, often stone monuments that taper upward and end in a pointed, pyramid-shaped top.

You are welcome to submit obelisks that may not fit the classic description exactly but still resemble or capture the spirit and shape of an obelisk. However, statues on pedestals or general monuments that don’t resemble an obelisk will not be accepted.

No great contest is complete without worthy rewards!

This year, the main prize, generously provided by Xzone, will remain a mystery until the very end — it shall be dig out like the Grail itself once the contest concludes.
