Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Did you know?
nr. 141 – 150

The hero’s backpack can hold up to 64 unequipped artifacts, and once it is full, no additional artifacts—or even the Grail—can be picked up, even if the hero has empty equipment slots.

Only Fortress has a two-hex-wide moat, and it deals 90 points of damage to any creature that enters it or ends its turn in the moat.

It is possible to locate Land Mines and Quicksands using the expert Remove Obstacle spell without spending any mana—simply by hovering your cursor over the hexes.

A hero can only lose creatures to Sirens once, regardless of how many Siren locations exist. However, due to a game bug, Sirens can be revisited after each battle.

A boat moves exactly 15 tiles per turn on water, regardless of creature speed. Capturing a Lighthouse adds +5 tiles to this range, but the bonus only takes effect the day after you flag it.

You can enable or disable the Tactics skill directly from the hero screen—an option not documented in the game manual.

Resource mines can have guarding creatures stationed in them, similar to town garrisons—a feature introduced in the Armageddon’s Blade expansion.

Unlike most dragons, Faerie Dragons don’t have a 2-hex breath attack—they only deal damage to the single creature they target.

You can avoid losing creatures to the Whirlpool by making your weakest stack consist of just one unit.
