Heroes of Might and Magic III Piano Collections released on vinyl

To mark the 30th anniversary of Heroes of Might and Magic series, a special project has been created by Gamemusic Records: Heroes of Might and Magic III Piano Collections. This release features new piano arrangements performed by the original composer, Paul Anthony Romero, offering a fresh yet deeply nostalgic take on the game’s timeless soundtrack.

“The music for Heroes III was first written as piano themes,” says Romero. “Since I’m a pianist, this album is a return to the source — a journey back to when these melodies were born.”

The recordings took place at Nowa Miodowa Studio in Warsaw, known for its exceptional acoustics. Romero chose a Fazioli F278 grand piano, a favorite of many concert performers, to capture the purest sound of his compositions. The result is an intimate and elegant collection that reveals the emotional depth behind the familiar themes of Erathia.

The release also includes a beautifully crafted piano score book, designed with attention to artistic detail. Its open-spine binding and refined layout make it both practical and visually striking. The set’s design, featuring golden embossed dragons by Magdalena Katańska, gives a nod to the fantasy world of Heroes — yet it’s the music itself that remains at the heart of this collection: sincere, minimalistic, and timeless.
