HoMM: Olden Era – Early Access delayed to 2026

The development team at Unfrozen has officially announced that the game’s Early Access release has been postponed to early 2026.

According to the studio, the decision comes after analyzing community feedback from recent tests. The developers want to focus on improving the user interface, reworking several units, and possibly even adjusting aspects of an entire faction that didn’t meet expectations.

While another delay is never good news, this move seems to come from a place of care and dedication. The team clearly wants Olden Era to live up to the legacy of the Heroes of Might and Magic name. Let’s hope this will be the final delay before the long-awaited EA release.

Thankfully, Unfrozen has also given fans something to ease the wait, the free demo, which has proven to be rich in content and already gathered very positive feedback from players. As of today, the demo holds a positive rating from over 600 reviews on Steam.
