‘Did You Know?’ is a collection of small bits of information, interesting facts, and bugs from Heroes of Might and Magic III. All entries are valid for the Shadow of Death and Complete editions of the game.

The Thunderbird’s Lightning Strike ability deals 100% extra damage to Air and Storm Elementals—but this bonus is still reduced by the Golems spell damage reduction.When a hero visits the Arena, they can choose between +2 Attack or +2 Defense—and even if they decline both options, they still receive +2 Attack.If your Black Dragons accidentally attack your own Titans, they still deal their +50% Hate damage bonus against them.Creatures immune to Fire Magic are also unaffected by Magic Arrow—regardless of what magic school the spell belongs to.A level-14 hero with the Eagle Eye specialty will learn any Level 1–4 spells cast by an enemy hero during combat—and these spells are added to their spellbook once the battle ends.Creature specialist heroes grant +1 Speed to the creatures they specialize in—a bonus not mentioned in their in-game descriptions. This effect does not apply to Conflux Planeswalkers.The default resource pile amounts on the adventure map are 500–1,000 gold, 5–10 wood or ore, and 3–6 of each magical resource.Magic Mirror not only redirects enemy spells but also makes its target immune to the Hypnotize spell.Master Genies can cast mass spells—but only when the battle takes place on Magic Plains. On all other magical terrains, creature-cast mass spells still affect only a single target.Corpse has a 20% chance to yield a random treasure or minor artifact. If your hero’s equipment slots and backpack are full, there’s still a 20% chance—but you’ll receive 1,000 gold instead.
