JS – main module
This mod is incompatible with the BattleSpeed mod. You can’t speed up battle animations with it activated.
I tried it, but everything works the same whether the JS – main module is active or inactive BattleSpeed mod works as it should.
It is highly recommended to open the Mod Manger and click the bottom left “Sort” button.

Oh, I’m not surprised that something isn’t working for you. I think you have everything activated, even modifications that aren’t compatible.
Deactivate these modifications and let me know if it helped. After deactivating, click on the “sort” button in the Mod Manager, it is located in the lower left corner.

Hey, thank you for the suggestion but it did not solve the problem. I’m still getting the weird “gem” strings everywhere.
In fact, the string issue persists with just the mods: In The Wake Of Gods (Core), Era Erm Framework, and Game Enhancement Mod.
With the latest update, text strings in GEM are not working properly anymore. For instance, on the left side of the minimap, right clicking a GEM option gives text like “gem.map.button2hint”. This is also happening in battle mode, e.g. when trying to switch between melee & ranged attack. Any fix to this? Thanks

Does Update from Launcher works? I try to Update my Era since yesterday, but it does not work. Launcher ist only staing: “Preparing update files” …. nothing happens
Try clicking the gear next to the PLAY button and selecting Check and Restore from the menu.
Additional info to my previous comment : starting SoD and HotA from the launcher works, launching ERA doesn’t, I tried many combinations from the HD-mod settings and I wasn’t able to start ERA.

Hello, the program has Turkish language support and some parts of the game are in Turkish very well, but can you help me with what needs to be done to make the entire game in Turkish?
You have to translate everything manually. Start Heroes Launcher, go to the ERA tab, select Tools from the menu on the right, and in the first line is Transaltor, which you can use to translate the game.
How do you play custom campaigns in the new version? RoE, AB, SOD, and Chronicles are visible, but no longer can custom campaigns be played.
Custom campaigns from WOG are not yet available.

After this last update, the AI is now getting Dimension Door (or maybe it’s Fly, not sure) after a few months into the game. These spells are banned everywhere they can be banned, but the AI is still somehow getting them. I’ve tried several games, but it happens every time now. This did not happen before the last update.
Another issue that has been around for a while now is, right clicking on the heroe’s spell book in the paper doll screen no longer shows spell training progress. You have to actually go into the spell book and click on individual spells to see spell training progress. It also no longer shows how many times the hero can spell train per battle.
Just a follow up, I verified that Fly and Dimension Door are showing up in the mage guild for the AI players even though they’re banned. And they seem to be showing up every game now.
I’ve tried multiple settings, but nothing prevents them from showing up now.
Why is ther no Legacy of the Silence mode?
I wish there was a way to play WOG/ERA on giant maps and with HotA content, the best maps like element land with few WoG twists would make insanely good combo

Ever since the latest HD update [5.5 R46], Era crashes as it is creating a random map. Tried several things to fix it but to no avail.

Hi, in order for the game to be in Russian, you also need to have the basic version of Heroes 3 Complete in Russian. Then when you start the game via the Heroes launcher, on the main screen, in the upper right corner, you can select the language and there select Russian from the menu.
Hi, I installed WOG via HeroesLauncher and keep facing problems with symbol encoding in Russian, even when I switch back to English. So some messages or creature characteristics stay in question marks “????? ??????? ??? ?????”. But some Russian notes are perfectly visible.
My PC OS language is German. Does it have something to do with encoding in the game?
How can I switch to English completely or activate proper Russian text?

Just to know, the special features of buildings like market/resource silo that says it give more gold is needed to be activated somehow? I builds them but the bonus don’t work.
You need to download the modification called Upgradable silos via Mod Browser and activate it via Mod Manager.

In the last few patches, it keeps getting stuck at “Unpacking”, and a message that says Close the game if it is running and hit continue. But clicking continue does NOTHING.
The only option is to cancel update, then click on INSTALL, then click the slider to select Install to a separate folder from original game installation.
This has a Java script error, but it finishes, and all the downloaded mods are missing, and the plugin manager is reset.
Disabling anti-virus does not help. It used to patch properly, but something has changed, and now it’s easier to just reinstall everything from the beginning every time.
I can’t update ERA anymore. Every time it starts to unpack the files I get a message stating to “close the if it is running and click continue”. I don’t have any instance of the game opened. Even immediately after restarting my PC I get this message. Is this a bug?
The update could be blocked by an antivirus or firewall. Try starting with this.

I solved the issue by unchecking the “read-only” flag for the file “era.dll” and the folder “DebugMaps” as stated in the launcher. Thanks anyway.

Faced an issue with launching ERA after the update of mod to 1.1.1.
Win11 24H2, Launcher 1.1.1, ERA 2.148, HD mod 5.5.
Once i try to start the game up nothing happens. Tried to clean install all of the components, did things described in “known issues”, but still the same.
HotA and VCMI works fine though.
Any advice on how to fix woulf be highly apperciated.

Since the last ERA update the game does not run. The rest games, for example HotA, launch ok from Heroes Launcher.
I have already tried configuring the options indicated in DEP_tutorial.html but it still doesn’t work.

Hi. At some point “mod browser” stopped working. It shows in task bar but doesn’t load properly, only a transparent window in the preview
Everytime i create a new game , it crash … i try to create a new game, change settings or use non-HD version, try to rollback to earlier version of HD mod, but game still crash at the world creation and i not able to play
any way to fix that ? Im on Windows eleven and ERA 2.122

I have homm 3 complete from GOG saved in programfilesx86 yet when trying to install wog it says it cannot use that folder. How do I get around this?
You need to install heroes 3 somewhere else than programfilesx86. I moved it to “documents” and it worked
Does “TUM Enchanted” work with “Advanced Classes Mod” ?
I reinstalled and am using the mods that are already in the mod manager at time of install and ERA HOMM3 works perfectly. But I do miss the ability to upgrade monsters to their third level. I’m apprehensive about installing “TUM Enchanted v2.21”. I would like the upgrading to third level but am afraid of conflicts.
What are your thoughts?

Third Upgrade Mod was causing the Russian language on the “water content” and “Monster Strength” buttons so I have to do without it. All programs are updated to their latest versions.

The game now locks up in battle on the commander’s turn (brute), then crashes after a few seconds.
Latest updates to the launcher and ERA.
you probably updated the HD mod to the latest version, which unfortunately broke all of ERA 3. Open the HD mod settings and click on uninstall and then on Rolback last update.

With the new 1.1 update after installing one mod for era 3 i cant install any other mods. The old version of this stupid launcher was so much freaking better
Same issue, stuck at 0kb/s for any mods after installing just one mod. Has to close and open the launcher again just to download another mod, and then repeat the whole process for another one….
Maybe the firewall is blocking the download, add Heroes Launcher to the exceptions.
Where was the problem?
I have a strange bug in the current version. When leveling up, random primary skill decreases by 1 or more. This decrease works for my friend when playing multiplayer too. Any suggestions?
There’s a new bug in online multiplayer with the First Aid skill. If you have the First Aid skill and you use the tent, the game freezes up for several long seconds and you can’t move anything. Eventually the game unfreezes and you can continue play, but the healing amount is very low. This happens every time you use the tent, and makes the skill unusable, and the game too slow.
Also, the AI heroes randomly lock up on the map after a few months into the game, and won’t move for the rest of the game. But on their turn, the game freezes up for several long seconds and you can’t move anything. Eventually the game unfreezes and the computer moves on to the next AI hero. This happens every turn once the AI heroes start doing this, and makes the game unplayable. This is a long standing bug.
How do i Fix the Movement Bug in the Game?
It just destroys the Game for me.
Tried to fix it with the “heroes3.ini” thing, but i got no CPU-Patch in the Editor.
Is there any other Way to fix it?

I also have the same issue. And also cant fix even with the heroes3.ini. The issue is: when running on ERA (only ERA, HOTA works good), when moving your hero is moving and you move your mouse cursor too, it freezes the game, only returning to the normal when i stop moving my mouse cursor.
The game freezes and you keep hearing horse steps all the time, as if you are with infinite move.
Some people asked to change couple configurations on heroes3.ini, but it is not working. I really appreciate any help.

Help please, when trying to install it says “No connection to server”
Heroes Launcher is missing download resumption function, meaning, if download speed drops to zero, it forces us to resume downloading from beginning, which wastes a lot of time.

Seems it can be resumed from the place it left too, yet it’s annoying it has to be done manually, by pausing and unpausing.
Also I can download on browser at up to 300kb/s with this sh*tty connection, while the Heroes Launcher downloads only up to 70kb/s – why ? Are you limiting download speed ?
Does this also install the HD MOD as well or does that need to be installed prior to this?
One other issue, I do the install and just as shown in the video and when I try to play the WoG the Campaign for WoG is not there just RoE, AB, SoD and Heroes Chronicles, well Heroes Chronicles is not there it just lets you load it if you have the files.

Hi Dima, installing Heroes Launcher is completely free and you don’t have to worry about any fines. The only thing you need for installation is the GOG version of Heroes 3 Complete (can usually be bought on GOG for €2.39).

Hi, this could be caused by an antivirus blocking Heroes Launcher. Try turning AV off for a while and then start HL.

Have you tried a clean install? Delete everything completely and install again?
Yes, its very strange. Its works perfectly and one day stoped. AV, clean instal nothing helping.

I you use Third upgrade mod and its is updated to current version it makes AI slow not nessery launcher. It works fine with 2.18.2 version and atm TUM seems to be looked at by creator

Watch the video. Also, the new launcher adds a lot of capability, flexibility, consolidation, etc. It makes adding mods easier. The interface is easier.
I wish they’d actually consolidate all of the HoMM and MM games into one single launcher, though. Like the “Might and Magic 6, 7, 8 merge based on mm8 engine” mod, available on the Celestial Heavens forum. It would actually simplify this website (heroes3wog.net) a ton as well.
As for crashing, I had that initially. Had to do some troubleshooting. Once that was done, everything was smooth. Still there are some bugs regarding the WoG scripts not executing. Growing pains, teething issues.

I uninstall all previous versions of ERA 3 / ERA 3 Launcher. Then make clean installation of Heroes Launcher. Use it to install ERA 3 and everything will work.
Im an IT guy, just to mention. I have a GOG version and followed install stpes above and Im facing same issue, not possible to start a game from launcher. I click Play and nothing happen. I made a few clean reinstalls and its still the same.
When I first run Launcher, install ERA mod, Im able to click on Play and run HD Launcher but when I close HD Launcher then Im not able to run that launcher by clicking on Play. I turned off ESET antivirus and allow all network traffic just to be sure nothing is not blocked.
All drivers are up to date, Windows 11 PRO newest update: 22631.4112 .
I made a virtual machine with W10 22H2 and follow all steps to install ERA/WOG and everything is working fine withou any issues.
So there is an issue with Windows 11 or some W11 update. I troubleshoot it a lot today and nothing worked.

After upgrading from the previous version, I cannot load during battle in WoG (I can in HotA). I could before. I have the latest versions of the launcher and HD mod. The is set to 1 in era.ini. Does anyone else have this issue?
